Sues Blues

Inn At School House Creek on the Mendocino Coast

Ok so a welcome surprise here with these little cottages on the hillside to say the least.  At first glance they are not stunning, but the cuteness, character and charm soon become obvious immediately.  This little hillside retreat boasts dozens of rooms with ocean views, private balconies and fireplaces.  They are dog friendly, major bonus.  They are quaint and charming.  The place has great accessibility and was quite despite Hwy 1 road noise which really is next to nothing all night.  Didn’t start hearing cars until about 8am or so.  Even then it’s very light traffic.  Let’s just the charm and ocean views more than made up for any light traffic. This place was really pretty great.  Things I loved about it – cute, cute, cute.  The bed was so comfy.  One of the comfiest, hotel, B&B, cottage, overnight jaunt beds I’ve every slept in and I’ve gotten around a little.  Not like that, but you know what I mean jelly bean.  Also the sheets were plush soft, beds were stocked with four fluffy pillows each to really lay your head into.  A made for a good night’s rest and that’s a lot to say coming from me with all the many years of sleep struggles and deprivation. So over all I’m going to give this place a 4.5 rating.  It was clean and cute and quite and quint.  Just what a good little getaway needs to be worth treasuring.  Great food a minute’s drive away – I ate at the Wild Fish restaurant right down and across the street and that was beyond magnifique.  Look out for my pics and write up on Wild Fish.  It was one of the best seafood meals I’ve ever had I think.  Well it at least ranks up there in the top 3, kind of vying for 1.
