Ode to religion.While it is said that we are one and we are all children of a single creator it is so sad that the most powerful force divides us instead of uniting us. I’m always disturbed at how people are able to contrive anything and everything to their liking, even religions. They all say the same thing essentially. They all are calling on our faith to believe in a “Higher Power.” Why are we unable to accept all religions and all messengers? Why must we be right and they be wrong? Why can’t they all just be as they are and as they were and as they have been? This is really what it is. There is nothing else, but total acceptance of what really is the case. There are multiple religions. There were multiple prophets that came to multiple parts of the world to deliver a very similar message. One of salvation, and karma and faith and surrender. We can use different terminology. We can rely on different passages, but nothing will change of the facts. The facts are what they are. There are different kinds of people with different cultures, languages, foods and different appearances and their gods and prophets appeared a certain way in a certain region so they could resonate to those people at that time. There are no other facts. No one is right and no one is wrong. We must be with those concrete facts without knocking others. On this estranged Diwali, this is my ode to religion.
