Pause Now – Mobile Meditation Center – Founder Jackie Corwin

We’ve all heard the children’s song, “the wheels on the bus go round and round….”  Well the wheels on this bus are making the bay area slow down with the Pause now mobile meditation bus.

Pause Now is the first of its kind, a mobile meditation center founded by former banker Jackie Corwin.  She left the corporate world to spread mindfulness across the bay.  And it’s spreading one dose at a time.

She says the reaction to her nonprofit has been warm and receptive.  Jackie is hopeful as she continues to grow and spread the message the buses will also multiply.

The mobile meditation center is making its rounds. On any given day, the bus may be in the financial center offering much-needed breaks, in this case, a 15-minute meditation in your very own private pod to corporate workers whose company may have contracted out the bus for an afternoon.

Or the Pause Now bus could be posted up at a bay area hospital giving doctors and nurses much-needed relief and some temporary relaxation.

On this particular afternoon when I caught up with Jackie Pause Now was out at a charity event for the homeless, Christmas with the Curry’s in Oakland.  Yes, those Currys, Stephen Curry and his wife Ayesha Curry were hosting a pop-up care village for the homeless.

Be sure to check out the video below for more on my time with Jackie and Pause Now.
