
Confidence is something we can all use. It definitely can help us get far in life. Without it life can be quite the struggle.
So let’s consider three easy ways to boost your confidence – and let me just preface this list by saying this is not your typical list. These are out of the box ways to get a confidence boost that actually really work.
1. Read – reading is so powerful. It expands your knowledge. It gives you major confidence cause the more you learn, the more you know. The more you read the smarter you become. You’ll have a better vocabulary. You’ll actually be more comfortable speaking for the most part because you’re grounded in knowledge. It’s also a great conversation starter – a book is a like a world within a world. It’ll transport you out of states of anxiety and stress. And if you really want to self-improve start reading books on confidence. They are loaded with insights and tips for showing up with greater confidence.
2. Listen – communication is a huge part of building confidence. When we can speak confidently or communication which isn’t always necessarily speaking – we can show up with greater trust within. Listening is actually the #1 step to powerful communication. So here’s how learning to listen better will make you more confident. When you listen better people begin to have greater respect for you and it’s inevitable that will build a level of confidence within. When people trust you there is a huge resounding sense of peace that comes from that. Listening will also help deepen bonds with those around you and when we are surrounded by at least one or two good solid confidantes we become more comfortable in our own skin versus being all alone and not really having anyone we are close to.
3. Exercise – so while exercise is great for your mind, body and soul it is great for feeling better about yourself. For one you are releasing endorphins and that in and of itself will make you feel happier and we know most confident people lean more towards happiness than gloom and doom. And if you really want to level up exercise can help you get in great shape and when you are feeling confident about how you look, how you show up in the world there is no question that confidence is just a by product – of looking and feeling great.
So love yourself up with any or all of these 3 things and show up and show out.
