The psychology of the anti-vaxxer is based in a series of false ideologies.

We find it befitting to say this. We’ve been talking to anti-vaxxers to come to terms with the inexplicable decision to not vaccinate during a world health crisis.

Here are some of the most common traits we’ve found in anti-vaxxers.

BAD INFORMATION/WRONG FACTS/DISBELIEF OF SCIENCE

NO. NO. NO. The corona virus is not like the flu. This is one of the most prevalent misconceptions or mis-speak of the anti-vaxxing community. This is commonly said and shared among others. Even prior to the vaccine when the pandemic first hit – the notion that we were shutting down the country because of a “flu” is grossly negligent in all its forms.

The other issue is the total lack of awareness around data and science. Science is not based in theories or ideologies, but facts and numbers. The numbers have shown to be conclusive and suggest the vaccine is far more beneficial than to not vax. The risk of not being vaccinated far outweigh the risk of being vaccinated. Not being vaccinated only increases your odds of getting this deadly virus. Hard to believe this alone is not convincing enough. I presume anti-vaxxers have to taint the tale to fit their narrative otherwise they might be perceived to be gravely dense with so much data slapping you in the face. How oddly obscene to just ignore it.

Choosing not to be vaccinated means we as a nation may never reach herd immunity and we will continue the spread of this very contagious and deadly virus indefinitely.

HOW CORONAVIRUS DIFFERS FROM THE FLU

Unlike the flu this virus may not show any symptoms. It is terribly contagious far more than the flu and the numbers never lie.

The numbers are truly staggering. According to the CDC 24-62,000 people died of the flu in the U.S. between October 2019 and April 2020. While more than 600,000 people have died from the Corona Virus in the U.S. alone and more than 3.7 million deaths around the world. We got this information from the worldometer live tracker.

The virus is also different from the flu because it can penetrate your nervous system attacking white blood cells at an alarming manner that is not consistent with the common flu.

The coronavirus is contagious far longer than the flu.

Flu virus causes mild to severe symptoms in general terms where as corona virus can kill you within a matter of days. The flu can also kill you, but not as prevalent.

Coronavirus has far more super spreading events than the flu. This means it can quickly spread to a lot of people and continue spreading as time progresses.

Most people who get the flu will recover in a few days. Coronavirus can potentially take a minimum of weeks up to several months to recover.

CONSPIRACY THEORIES

It’s a hoax. It was transplanted in by the Chinese to harm Americans. All Chinese in turn are bad hence the new Anti-Asian Hate laws that are being enacted as a direct result of this high level of ignorance. It’s my sincere belief that those who believe this sort of hyperbole, many of them have never been outside of the U.S. So as they age and discriminate they have all sorts of ideas of what the rest of the world is like without having any real clue. Reading matters. It helps open our eyes to the bigger world at large. Travel does this in droves. There is nothing like seeing other cultures and other parts of the world for a deeper understanding of life and all of its inhabitants.

When millions of people die from something any amount of common sense would tell you that it is not a hoax, but people have a way of believing whatever it is they are hell bent on believing. It doesn’t matter how you slice it or dice it. Even numbers don’t give any sort of signal to the blind eye.

It’s not safe to get vaccinated. I’ve even heard I might die and yes while people have died after being vaccinated that number is so infantile that it’s not even worth entertaining. And with deeper study and research you understand that not getting vaccinated is far deadlier than getting the vaccination. And those who have died after being vaccinated had pre-existing conditions of some sort. This is conclusive. Anti-vaxxers and right wingers continue pushing the theory out there to the masses.

We are all sheep – they know something we don’t and we are all just sheep following the lead. They are smarter than us and they are not going to just do what Biden or what science tells us is in the best interest of us all. They have their own brains that do not just follow the pack. Even if the pack is just following science.

Hey – big secret….shhhh – keep this on the down low —–…..I’m all vaxxed and I’m a leader not a follower.

SELFISHNESS

Ultimately it would not be far stretched to claim the psychology of the anti-vaxxer is dare I say purely selfish and self absorbed. During a world health crisis we come together, those of us who care. We understand the importance of vaccinating not only for our own safety from a deadly virus, but for the safety of others. We are all in to reach herd immunity and we all want to protect ourselves and the community around us. Vaccinating is not only selfish, but selfless. There is a greater good at large that will benefit all of us and allow us to return to normalcy.

However when the world revolves around us and nothing else, than no-one else matters. It’s all about us all the time. Who cares about protecting adults and children and neighbors and our congregation. Let’s all go congregate unmasked, un-vaxxed – anyway. This is the attitude that is most prevalent among those who refuse to get vaccinated. I have yet to hear the reasoning for being vaccinated articulated to me intelligently rather than emotionally or politically.

THE PUSH TO VACCINATE VIA INCENTIVES

This problem is far greater than most of us would imagine. More than fifty percent of the nation is refusing to get vaccinated which would inevitably never allow us to reach herd immunity.

It’s in fact so bad that the federal government is now rolling out cash rewards as incentive to try and get people to sign up for the vaccine. Here’s what Californians could get if they go for it. And a lot of corporations are jumping in it also offering rewards and discounts if you decide to do the right thing. If you’re on the fence check out vaccines.org to see what kind of perks might await you if you decide to do the right thing.

Yeah I said it.
