A little update from the road. My latest jaunt has me touring Northern California. The all mighty Golden State is really much more grand than one could imagine. It’s only through my little day trips, night trips, and week long road trips that I’ve been fortunate to find the many little treasures our awesome state has to offer.
When I say NorCal, a term I usually stray from I use it now in the literal sense. I don’t mean bay area in relation to SoCal, I mean literally Northern California. Eureka, California to be absolutely precise. So here we are at the Hydrangea Inn in Eureka in the ever vast Humboldt County.
A quaint little Bed & Breakfast with all the character and charm of a late 1920’s mansion. A darling little place that will give you all of those warm and fuzzy feelings we look for when resting over at a B&B.
The Hydrangea is centrally located – five blocks or so to the old town downtown and stones through from the main thorough fare – US 101.My travels up and down this highway have been filled with light, joy, abundance, magnificent landscapes, surprise and astounding beauty. How lucky am I? Not boasting, but just acknowledging the gratitude I have for being able to take a little road trip here and there.
