The Elon Musk Coup

In the biggest breach in U.S. history the Elon Musk Coup is full steam ahead. He’s in. Musk’s been granted access to the U.S.’s treasury portal. He’s managed with threats to push the former Treasury Director out.

The Elon Musk Coup

And he’s got a few teeny boppers, well not quite although one is only 19 at the helm helping him take over with his makeshift agency that just came out of thin air – DOGE – The Department Of Government Efficiency.

Question: Now what in the world does a guy with an electric car company and zero political experience know about cutting government spending?

Answer: Nothing

The dangers of this are many.

He has now paused US Aid which is the leading developmental program in the world that was enacted by Congress.

Musk’s Coup Goes After U.S. Aid

A little on USAID –

USAID (United States Agency for International Development) is the primary U.S. government agency responsible for administering civilian foreign aid and development assistance. Founded in 1961 by President John F. Kennedy, it operates as an independent agency while receiving foreign policy guidance from the Secretary of State.

USAID works in over 100 countries to:

  • Promote global health, including fighting diseases and improving maternal/child health
  • Support economic growth and trade
  • Provide humanitarian assistance during disasters and crises
  • Advance democracy and human rights
  • Improve food security and agriculture
  • Support education initiatives
  • Address climate change and environmental challenges

The agency partners with various organizations including other governments, NGOs, private companies, and local communities to implement its programs. USAID’s work is generally structured around specific development objectives that align with both U.S. foreign policy goals and the host country’s development priorities.

One of USAID’s key principles is building local capacity so that countries can eventually manage their own development challenges without external assistance. This includes training local workers, strengthening institutions, and supporting sustainable development practices.

The agency’s budget typically represents less than 1% of the total U.S. federal budget, though it leverages additional resources through partnerships and co-financing arrangements with other donors and the private sector.

Musk’s Overreach

With zero oversight after Trump fired 15 Inspector’s General last week to ensure there’d be no watchdogs to enforce the law, Musk is manning the treasury data base with access to all of our data, yours and mine, i.e., social security numbers, sensitive records of every kind, and trillions of dollars that American’s and other’s rely on.

The U.S. Treasury Department pays out more 6 trillion dollars a year to various agencies, programs and Americans.

What this could mean for millions of people?

A halt to Medicare payments, social security payments, government loans, small business federal funded loans, meals on wheels, pediatric cancer research, food stamps, welfare checks and more. All of these payments could see temporary or long-term freezes.

While lawmakers staged a rally on the first day today they made an attempt to enter the building to try and get some clarity about what exactly it is he is doing. t

On the very first day when he showed up on a Saturday evening to illegally takeover, the emboldened Musk even had the audacity with the weight of Trump behind him to threaten to call the National Guard on Treasury employees if they did not give him access.

On day two of the fiasco Elon Musk has denied congress members and employees access.

What exactly he wants with all of our data – will soon come to light for better or worse.

I do believe if they get together perhaps several of them can pull him out of there it be it physically.

Elon Musk is notorious for gaslighting and spreading disinformation – checkout this previous post – A World Without Fact Checking.
