The United Nations A Vanity Piece

So we’ve all or most of us have heard of the United Nations, but what we never knew until recently is the U.N. is a vanity piece. It’s worthless.

This came evident during the ongoing colonization of Palestine. Not only has the U.N. United not a single thing, not a person, not a hostage, not a soul, not a lost child of war, it’s not living up to its namesake. What is United about it?

The U.N. did nothing about its 59 staffers that have been killed by Israel.

Why The United Nations Was Established

The United Nations (UN) is an international organization that was founded for the purpose of promoting peace, security, cooperation, and friendly relations among nations. Established October 24, 1945, after the conclusion of World War II.

As outlined in it’s charter, the primary goals of the UN include maintaining international peace and security, fostering friendly relations among nations, promoting social progress, improving living standards, and addressing global challenges such as poverty, hunger, disease, and human rights abuses. It clearly is not living up to the promises outlined in the charter upon which it was formed.

The UN has various specialized agencies, programs, and bodies that work on specific issues like the World Health Organization (WHO), the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).

The organization was set up to provide a platform for member states to collaborate on addressing global issues. It was originally established with the intent to be central in facilitating diplomatic efforts, conflict resolution, and humanitarian assistance around the world. The General Assembly, the Security Council, the International Court of Justice, and the Secretariat are among the key components of the UN’s organizational structure.

Why Today The United Nations Warrants No Respect

If we were to rely solely on the U.N. for its purpose of establishment what it alleges in its charter it is to do to not only encourage and promote peace, but enforce it we shall not hold our breaths.

Present day International crimes that are taking place as we speak say all that we need to know about what the U.N. is and what it will do. Nothing.

And this is not a bipartisan issue here that we’re addressing. This is not about taking sides. This is simply about the facts, the charter and what is taking place. The crimes that continue to happen on the world stage evidenced by journalist after journalist with footage, images, video to further evident the facts cannot be simply disregarded. What is considered a war crime or international remains. It does not change based on ideology or what side we stand on. This is where diplomacy comes into play and this is essentially the whole reason the U.N. was established in the first place.

The U.N. has spoken little which says a lot. It has been addressed by many, but its response has essentially been nil.

So with that in mind let’s just let the United Nations hold little weight in our mind’s eye for what it is, what it represents cause up to now we see it is nothing more than a vanity piece.
