Walk For Peace Buddhist Monks
This amazing Walk For Peace by Buddhist Monks drew people from all spiritual walks of life to greet the monks on their journey for peace.
A small group of Buddhist monks has been walking across America in silence and prayer, step by step, mile by mile, on a Walk for Peace to Washington, D.C. Nearly two dozen monks began their journey in Fort Worth, Texas, committing to walk more than 2,300 miles across 10 states with nothing but their robes, their bowls, and a shared intention for peace.
Each day, they walk mindfully sometimes up to 25 miles eating one simple meal, sleeping outdoors, and moving through towns and cities as a quiet reminder that peace doesn’t start in governments or institutions. It starts within. This is not a protest or a demand. It’s a living meditation in compassion, resilience, and unity.
Their journey ends at the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C., where they arrive not with slogans, but with presence. In a world loud with division, these monks offer something radical and rare: stillness, humility, and the courage to walk for what we say we want, peace.
